poetry, prose and songs by Clare O'Brien

Breathing Out Becomes White And Snowfall is a collection of words which came into my mind one night between waking and sleeping. What it meant I had no real idea, but it suggested the lyrics for a song, The Snowglobe.  Later I was reading about a strange place called Enceladus, where it snows upwards. On this frozen moon of Saturn, geysers spray up out of the hot, oceanic interior and instantly freeze, falling gently as ice crystals. The planet breathes snow. It is a snowglobe.
